Cheesetopia 2016 Comes To Chicago: Public Invited To Meet 40 Artisans, Sample 200 Cheeses

CHICAGO – Tickets to Cheesetopia 2016, a cheesemaker festival featuring 40 artisans sampling and selling more than 200 of the best cheeses from around the Midwest, go on sale today in Chicago.

Cheesetopia is a traveling cheese festival hosted by Roth Cheese and Wisconsin Cheese Originals that brings the best American farmstead and artisan cheeses to the heart of major cities. The 2016 event descends upon the Bridgeport Art Center in Chicago on April 10.

Tickets are $75 and include free on-site parking and an open bar with complimentary wine, beer and soda. All tickets will be sold in advance. To purchase tickets and view a listing of participating cheesemakers, visit www.wisconsincheeseoriginals.com.

Attendees will ride one of the oldest, largest elevators in Chicago – it’s so big, it has a built-in bar – to the fifth floor Skyline Loft of the former Spiegel Catalog Warehouse. This historic, renovated building features original timber construction, rustic exposed brick, and an unparalleled view of the Chicago skyline.

Attendees may sample and purchase cheese from more than 40 cheesemakers and local artisans. The festival will be open from Noon to 4 p.m. and offer a fun market atmosphere with cheese samples and an open bar. Many cheesemakers will sell their products.

Wisconsin Cheese Originals thanks marquee sponsor Roth Cheese in Monroe, Wis., for helping make the event possible. All attendees will receive a free insulated shopping bag from the Wisconsin Milk Marketing Board.
