PLATTEVILLE, Wis. — Cheese production moves at a steady pace at the highly automated $44 million Emmi Roth USA plant in Platteville's industrial park.
Ruedi Bucher, plant manager, said the plant is on track to produce 4.5 million pounds of cheese this year. Production began in November on a trial basis in the building located on a 20-acre lot.
"We have a great team here, which is a plus," he said. "It made it easy for me to jump in and take over."
