Through his life, serial entrepreneur Marino Zazzera Jr. operated restaurants, imported olive oil, even operated batting cages. But one endeavor endured: Marino’s Garlic Spread.
Developed when he worked in the 1980s at his family’s Ben-Mar Restaurant, the Carbondale native’s premium garlic spread sells steadily at select grocery stores, but primarily restaurants, where they use it atop garlic bread or as finishing sauces for scampi dishes.
With relationships with food distributors up and down the East Coast, Marino’s Garlic Spread is available in restaurants in most states east of the Mississippi River and regionally at retailers such as Gerrity’s Supermarkets, Quinn’s Markets and Boyer’s Food Markets.
