Cafe Spice Joins ASPCA’s Shop With Your Heart Program

New Windsor, NY – Café Spice, the leader in restaurant quality, ready-to-eat meals is delighted to announce joining the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals’ (ASPCA©Shop With Your Heart program, promoting companies and brands dedicated to improving animal welfare in their supply chains

and creating a more humane and sustainable farming system for all. Cafe Spice is the first brand to join Shop With Your Heart in the “ready-to-eat meals” category.

The ASPCA’s Shop With Your Heart campaign encourages consumers to explore more plant-based options and

seek out meat, eggs and dairy products certified by a one of three credible animal welfare certifications, including Global Animal Partnership (GAP), which certifies Café Spice’s chicken dishes.

From the start (2003), Cafe Spice has committed to sourcing chicken from farms certified by Global Animal Partnership (GAP), an independent third-party certifier with a well-defined Animal Welfare Rating System that’s used to help educate shoppers about how animals have been raised. “Convenience should not have to mean sacrificing quality, nor should enjoying a delicious quick meal conflict with your values,” said Sameer Malhotra, President and Co-founder of Cafe Spice. “Sourcing meats that are certified by Global Animal Partnership (GAP) has always been important to our brand, beginning with our first Chicken Tikka Masala meal packaged for stores. We’re thrilled to be part of the ASPCA’s Shop With Your Heart campaign, that guides consumers on how to make animal welfare-conscious buying decisions when shopping the food aisles.”
