Boone & Sons Neighborhood Market, which serves its own to-go meals and grocery items, will now be home to a variety of pop-up restaurants.
On Fridays, experienced pop-up restaurant starters Tony and Caroline Galzin will host the Chicago-style Deli House, serving sandwiches of Italian beef with giardiniera on scratch-made focaccia, Bear Creek cold cuts and more. Deli House will be open 11 a.m.-2 p.m., but diners are encouraged to attend early. The Galzins also plan to add Saturday service in April.
On Sundays, longtime F. Scott's veteran Kevin Ramquist will kick off The Unicorn, a chicken shack-style pop-up. Ramquist will serve Virginia-style barbecue chicken with buckwheat waffles and red eye gravy, fresh pickles and coleslaw. For a sweet bite, he also will serve Virginia maple doughnuts. The Unicorn's pop-up hours will be 11:30 a.m.-5 p.m.
