WASHINGTON COUNTY, N.Y. – On Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 10 and 11, five creative farmstead cheese-makers will open their farms to the public. From freshly made Chevre to ripened Camembert-style cheeses and aged Cheddar, the fifth annual Washington County (New York) Cheese Tour will enthrall cheese lovers of every age.
On this free, self-guided tour organized by the cheese-makers, visitors sample specially selected cheeses, and enjoy farm and cheese room tours, demonstrations, and other activities amidst beautiful scenery. Each farm will have a full selection of cheeses available for purchase.
