MADISON, Wis. – Wisconsin Milk Marketing Board (WMMB) has promoted Peter Leuer to regional marketing manager – Midwest Region. He is part of WMMB’s Channel Management team and will be responsible for working with leading cheese and food retailers, distributors and foodservice operators to promote and market Wisconsin Cheese in North Dakota, South Dakota, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois (the Chicago market) and Michigan (the Upper Peninsula).
Leuer joined WMMB as regional marketing manager – Local Markets in 2003, working with retail accounts such as Roundy’s, Piggly Wiggly, Festival Foods and Sendik’s, as well as smaller cheese shops and specialty retailers within Wisconsin and the surrounding states.
“Peter has been instrumental in developing and executing successful local markets promotions for all Wisconsin dairy products, earning him this advancement to the Midwest region,” said James H. Robson, WMMB’s chief executive officer.
Before joining WMMB, Leuer was a marketing associate for Baraboo SYSCO and earned his bachelor’s degree in Marketing at University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. He is based in WMMB’s Madison office.
The Wisconsin Milk Marketing Board is a nonprofit organization of Wisconsin dairy producers that promotes the consumption of milk, cheese and other dairy products made in America’s Dairyland.
