WhiteWave Foods Joins How2Recycle Program

BROOMFIELD, Colo. – WhiteWave Foods, a leading consumer packaged food and beverage company is the latest to join the How2Recycle Label Program. WhiteWave will be using the label on its North American brands: Silk, So Delicious Dairy Free, Vega, Horizon, Wallaby Organic, Earthbound Farm, International Delight and Land O’Lakes*. WhiteWave Foods joins more than 45 other member companies currently using the How2Recycle label to ensure that consumers receive clear instructions on how to dispose of packaging materials.

“We are excited to welcome WhiteWave Foods to How2Recycle,” said Danielle Peacock, project manager of the Sustainable Packaging Coalition. “WhiteWave consumers can expect to see How2Recycle across a variety of WhiteWave plant-based food and beverage products, coffee creamers, premium dairy products and fresh foods. We are excited for WhiteWave’s strong commitment to on-package recycling labeling.”

WhiteWave’s membership in How2Recycle reinforces the company’s commitment to promoting recycling and consumer education. WhiteWave works from the assumption that every material has a potential end-of-life scenario other than going to a landfill.

“One of the many ways WhiteWave is changing the way the world eats for the better® is through our commitment to sustainability,” says Wendy Behr, SVP, R&D and Sustainability. “We are constantly looking for ways to broaden our commitment to improving sustainability while educating consumers about how to responsibly dispose of our packaging materials. The How2Recycle Label educates consumers about how to further reduce the environmental impact of our products and promote sustainability.”
