A small micro-dairy with roots in King William County is outsourcing its milking operations to a Mennonite farmer so it can focus on production and marketing in a new space in Hanover County.
The Old Church Creamery is moving to a 3,200-square-foot space at 8098 Shady Grove Road in Mechanicsville, owner Keith Long said. The space was once used as a cannery by the Fearnow Brothers Cannery.
Plans call for making all of the 8–year-old company’s cultured products at the Mechanicsville location, Long said.
