TILLAMOOK, Ore.– Ice cream lovers of all ages responded to Tillamook County Creamery Association’s casting call last month for a chance to be in the first television advertising campaign for Tillamook Ice Cream.
In addition to Portland-area families, the company tapped into its more than 45,000 Facebook fans by issuing an online casting call asking people to share: “What’s your favorite Tillamook Ice Cream flavor?” The three resulting unscripted, 30-second television spots debuted in Portland, Ore., and Seattle and Spokane, Wash., and will run through the end of summer.
“In the Northwest, Tillamook Ice Cream is at the heart of summer family tradition. It’s that love and legacy we wanted to bring to life in the new commercials,” said John Russell, Tillamook senior director of marketing. “After interviewing dozens of local families, the resulting spots are authentic, simple and sweet, just like Tillamook Ice Cream.”
New Ice Cream Flavor – Grandma’s Cake Batter
Tillamook is introducing its newest limited-edition flavor, Grandma’s Cake Batter, for the summer ice cream season. Rich, creamy golden cake batter ice cream is sprinkled with bites of cake and licks of frosting, and swirled with a ribbon of cream cheese for the perfect balance of cake and ice cream in every spoonful.
Other popular Tillamook Ice Cream flavors include Marionberry Pie, Oregon Strawberry, Tillamook Mudslide and Udderly Chocolate. For purists, Chocolate, French Vanilla and Vanilla Bean are year-round favorites.
Tillamook Ice Cream, made from the highest-quality milk from cows not treated with artificial growth hormones, comes in 25 flavors available in 1.75 quart cartons and sold in select Northwest retail stores.
