Prior to joining the happy egg co., Sundgren was the National Egg and Cheese Category Director at Safeway Inc. In his new role, Sundgren will work closely with David Wagstaff, the happy egg co. Chief Operating Officer, to advance the company's retail and distribution strategy, positioning the company for aggressive growth. With more than a decade of experience in the retail industry, Sundgren will support the happy egg co.'s expansion in the specialty egg market and continue its mission to bring innovation to the egg case.

Drawn to the happy egg co. for its comprehensive hen welfare program, Sundgren was impressed with the company's innovative approach to the changing egg industry, prioritization of humane treatment of hens and ability to deliver on the increasing consumer demand for higher welfare eggs.
