I have a lot to say and much to explain, but let’s cut to the chase: we are ceasing operations of Ibex Drinkable Yogurt and will begin to wind down things at Skyland Foods.
We have had an amazing experience creating Ibex and bringing it to market. I have learned so much that I could never have otherwise known and met so many people I would never have otherwise met (more on that later).
Earlier this year, we raised some money from “friends and family” that we hoped would get us to the stage where we could attract the outside capital that would help us grow to be a national brand. After we launched our organic formula this summer, we were able to gain the attention of the larger chain customers that we needed to expand distribution to more stores and territories. Since August, we were approved by a chain in the Mid-Atlantic and pitched three regions of Whole Foods.
