Osborn, Mo. – Shatto Milk Company brought home five awards from this, the 2019 Los Angeles International Dairy Competition. Shatto Milk Company was awarded Gold Medals, defined as an outstanding product of superior character, for Garlic Butter in the Flavored Butter Category; Lily Cheddar Cheese in the Open Class Hard Cheese Category; and for Shatto Cheese Spreads in the Spreadable Cheese Category. Shatto received a Silver Medal for their Plattsburg Gouda Cheese in the Gouda Cheese Category and a Bronze Medal for their Salted Butter in the Salted Butter Category.

The Los Angeles International Dairy Competition takes place annually at Fairplex, which is the home to the LA County Fair. Judging closed on February 23rd, with winners being notified on February 28, 2019. The Danish judging system is used. International entries hailed from places like Britain, France, Spain and the Netherlands. Entries also came from states such as: California, Illinois, Massachusetts, Maryland, Missouri, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Virginia and Wisconsin. Award winners will be on display during the 2019 LA County Fair which will take place August 30th through September 22nd.
Shatto Milk Company offers four varieties of butters, Garlic, Honey, Salted and Unsalted. Six varieties of cheese including a milk cheddar, hard cheddar, gouda, Havarti as well as a couple of their own unique cheese offerings.
