Sargento Announces Two Recognitions In The Consumer Products Division

PLYMOUTH, Wis. – Sargento Foods Inc. recognizes Chip Schuman and Mark Gumm for their contributions to the company’s Consumer Products Division

As Senior Vice President of Marketing, Chip will continue to increase Sargento brand awareness and work with integrated marketing support to evolve and fit the needs of the division, reporting to Michael Pellegrino, Chief Customer Officer & President – Consumer Products Division.

“Chip has been a great brand champion and has created a strong consumer connection with our Sargento equity,” said Louie Gentine, President and Chief Customer Officer at Sargento. “His insights and thought leadership have expanded well beyond marketing, and we are proud to recognize him for his efforts to the team.”

Chip joined Sargento in 2003 as Director of Marketing—Consumer Products Division. Prior to joining Sargento, Chip gained more than ten years of marketing experience working on brands such as Archway Cookies and Sara Lee. Chip earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration—marketing from James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Va. and his master’s degree in business administration from DePaul University in Chicago. He was promoted to  vice president- marketing in 2008.

As Senior Vice President of Sales, Mark will continue to oversee the Consumer Products Division sales operations, reporting to Michael Pellegrino, Chief Customer Officer & President – Consumer Products Division.

Mark began his career at Sargento in 1996 as Category Manager-Ingredients. Since joining Sargento, he has held various positions in marketing and sales and was named vice president – sales in 2008. Mark received a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Carroll College in Waukesha, Wis. and a master’s degree in business administration from Concordia University in Mequon,
