FRANKLIN COUNTY – The newest egg plant in Franklin County has a little different philosophy on producing eggs than most places. NestFresh, located at 1226 Kauffman Rd. West in Greencastle, is an organic egg processor that focuses on producing eggs on local family farms with animal welfare in mind.
"We source eggs from family farms across the country. At our local facility, we use those eggs to produce various types of hard cooked egg products that are available locally and nationally," said Brandy Gamoning, Marketing Manager at NestFresh. "Our local customers include restaurant supply companies, local supermarkets and food service distributors."
Their Chambersburg location, which opened in May, employs 30 people.
