Tipp city will help Meijer deliver higher-quality products faster to stores across Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana, Meijer co-CEO Mark Murray said Wednesday during a ground-breaking ceremony.
Gov. John Kasich joined officials from Meijer, JobsOhio, the Dayton Development Coalition, Tipp City and the surrounding community Wednesday morning for a ceremonial ground-breaking of the Meijer expansion, which includes a 105,000-square-foot dairy facility and a 68,000-square-foot refrigerated warehouse space. The expansion will generate 103 jobs and is expected to be complete by the end of 2015, company officials said.
The dairy and refrigerated warehouse will be built adjacent to the existing 1.7 million-square-foot Meijer Distribution Center at 4200 S. County Road 25A that employs more than 800 people, company officials said.
