Jamaica's Elmhurst Dairy Closes For Good, Looks To Donate Its Last Milk

On its final day of operation, Elmhurst Dairy in Jamaica is looking to donate its final supply of whole milk to those who need it most.

Management at the dairy contacted the Queens Chamber of Commerce on Oct. 31 to help get the word out about 400 cases of whole milk that need to be moved as soon as possible.

The dairy plant’s final supply of milk is being offered to any charitable or not-for-profit organization that is willing to come to the dairy and take it. In total, there are 400 cases of whole milk packaged in 1 quart containers, with 24 quarts to a case.
