Jackson’s Dairy Doubles Its Simple Truth Organic Milk Capacity

Jackson’s Dairy, owned by Kroger, is working on a project at the location on Fourth Avenue that will more than double its capacity for organic milk.

Kroger’s organic brand, Simple Truth, has increased in sales as the all-natural food wave has swept across the country. The Simple Truth brand, with more than 1,400 products, surpassed $2 billion in sales for the first time last year, according to a press release. Jackson’s Dairy packages organic and regular milk for Kroger stores all across the country.

“The sales department has sold every drop of (organic) milk we bring in here,” said Jackson’s Dairy Senior Operations Leader John Stone, adding the current 50,000 gallon silo for organic milk has not been enough the last 18 months. “We are adding a 60,000 gallon silo set in place (by a crane) on April 12.”
