Increased Milk Production Increases Wisconsin Milk Marketing Board's Annual Budget

MADISON, WI – Don't be surprised if you see Wisconsin dairy products being promoted a little more during the coming year.

An increase in milk production over the past year is credited for a $1.5 million increase in the Wisconsin Milk Marketing Board's annual budget.

The board's directors have unanimously approved a total budget of just over $30 million for the fiscal year that begins in July. It pays for the Alice in Dairyland program, June Dairy Month events, State Fair activities, the Tour of America's Dairyland bicycling series, and various high school and college sports promotions.
