Fairfax County Schools Drop Chocolate Milk

FAIRFAX, Va. – Fairfax County students will no longer be able to buy chocolate milk in school cafeterias. It's one of several new recommendations to make school food healthier, according to the Fairfax County Public Schools.

A recent FCPS statement explains, "While FCPS has requested elimination of high-fructose corn syrup in chocolate milk, the dairy providing milk to the school system was unable to do so. As a result, chocolate milk will not be offered in elementary schools this year. "

Not all parents are happy about this new decision. Some worry if there's no chocolate milk, their children won't drink any milk.
