Officials at Darigold Dairy say everything is fine following a 30-hour shutdown at its Boise facility earlier this month.
"It's completely over and a done deal," Steve Rowe, Darigold Vice President of Corporate Affairs told Boise Weekly. "Everything's fine. The important point to be made here is that there was never any food at risk."
A routine inspection had discovered some mold in the facility linked to ventilation issue.
"Yes, that's an infrequent, but minor issue," said Rowe. "But the public should know that Darigold went beyond what was required of us."
