Cal-Maine Foods, Inc. Names New Vice President Of Operations

JACKSON, Miss.- Cal-Maine Foods, Inc. announced that Timothy Thompson has been promoted to Vice President of Operations. This appointment was made effective June 1, 2015, by written consent of the Company’s Board of Directors. Thompson will have responsibility for all of Cal-Maine Foods’ production and processing facilities located in Arkansas. He will report directly to Sherman Miller, chief operating officer of Cal-Maine Foods.

Thompson has been employed with Cal-Maine Foods since 1996. He most recently served as General Manager of the Company’s operations in Searcy, Arkansas. Previously, he worked in the same capacity for Cal-Maine Foods in Lincoln, Arkansas, and for the Company’s egg products division. Thompson held management positions with Sonstegard Foods of Georgia and Supreme Egg Products before joining Cal-Maine Foods. Thompson graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater in 1984 with a bachelor’s degree in business management.

Cal-Maine Foods, Inc. is primarily engaged in the production, grading, packing and sale of fresh shell eggs, including conventional, cage-free, organic and nutritionally-enhanced eggs. The Company, which is headquartered in Jackson, Mississippi, currently is the largest producer and distributor of fresh shell eggs in the United States and sells the majority of its shell eggs in approximately 29 states across the southwestern, southeastern, mid-western and mid-Atlantic regions of the United States.
