Bill McDermott CEO Of SAP Added To IDDBA 18 Speaker Lineup

Madison, WI — The International Dairy Deli Bakery Association added Bill McDermott to the speaker lineup at IDDBA 18. McDermott’s presentation is “Winners Dream: A Journey from Corner Store to Corner Office.” IDDBA’s annual tradeshow runs June 10-12 at the New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center.

McDermott’s entrepreneurial abilities showed themselves when he purchased the local deli as a teenager, which funded his education in business management. He began his career selling copiers door-to-door for Xerox, where he eventually advanced to become the company’s youngest-ever corporate officer.

After 17 years at Xerox, McDermott was recruited by SAP as the CEO of SAP America and was appointed to the role of global co-CEO before assuming sole responsibility in 2014. SAP is the world’s leading provider of business software, with 378,000 customers in 25 industries and 180 countries worldwide. His journey was chronicled in his best-selling book, Winners Dream.

McDermott was named to the SAP Executive Board in 2008 to manage global field operations. During this time, he was instrumental in re-architecting the company’s go-to-market strategy, closely aligning the field organizations with the product development teams.

He’s been recognized for his business leadership by many organizations and is a member of several external boards including ANSYS and Under Armour.

At IDDBA 18, McDermott will share his journey and offer the steps you can take to advance your career to the next level. At Expert Neighborhood, an area where you can make appointments to meet one-on-one with experts, he will answer questions on: change management; corporate re-engineering, and technology and business operations.
