LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — The Southern Cheese Dip Academy will host the 3rd annual World Cheese Dip Championship on the grounds of the Clinton Presidential Center on Saturday, October 20, 2012.
In the past two years, over 10,000 people have come together to celebrate the local phenomenon known as cheese dip by casting their votes to decide what is the best tasting recipe in the world. Teams are divided into Amateur and Professional divisions, and winners will be determined through a series of blind tastings as celebrities, politicians and food writers/critics, sample and then vote on what they think is the best tasting cheese dip. Festival attendees will also be able to vote to determine who will receive this year's PEOPLE'S CHOICE AWARDS.
Winners will receive cash prizes, as well as trophies created exclusively for the event by a local artist, and the overall Professional Division Champion wins a trip to New Orleans to participate in the 2013 New Orleans Roadfood Festival held in the historic French Quarter.
