Rather than shutting down its operations in response to the litigation or seeking protection under U.S. Bankruptcy Laws, Gerald Easterling stated that a better alternative is to continue seeking an amenable solution with Streeterville. Over the long term, the Company seeks to increase its production, grow its shrimp and expand its operations and ultimately uplist to a national exchange.

Baldor Specialty Foods Opens New 100,000-Square-Foot Facility to Expand Regional Operations in Washington, D.C. Area

This expansion represents a significant investment in Baldor’s growing operations in the Washington, D.C. metro area, and enhances its ability to serve customers across Maryland, Washington, DC, and Virginia. The new facility, which includes 35 dock doors and state-of-the-art refrigeration and frozen storage capabilities, will enable Baldor to scale its operations, increase delivery efficiencies and continue its tradition of sourcing fresh, local products.  The facility will also support local employment, with 140 employees at present and plans to hire many more, including drivers and warehouse staff.

The Seafood Nutrition Partnership (SNP) welcomes Dr. Steven Summerfelt, Ph.D., P.E., to its Scientific Nutrition Advisory Council (SNAC). SNAC members are leading researchers in science, nutrition, and health. Dr. Summerfelt is the Chief Science Officer at Superior Fresh, the first land-based Atlantic salmon producer in the United States.

The Collaboration prioritizes the enhancement of awareness and understanding of emerging traceability technologies to help ensure the safety and integrity of the food supply chain. Through united efforts, the Collaboration promotes acceleration of industry-wide compliance with FSMA Rule 204. 

Seafood and Gender Equality Earns $715K to Advance the Gender Equality Dialogues

For the next three years, this funding will support implementation of the Gender Equality Dialogues (GED) where seafood executives convene to align on the issues, commit to action, and leave equipped with the tools to advance equity within their operations.
