Upper Midwest’s “Best Doughnut” “Bakery Stable Bread” and “Sculptured Bread.”
UMBA Convention February 26 – 27, 2011 Treasure Island, Red Wing, MN
Entrants in the Raised Doughnut contest are to submit six of the same kind for judging. Entrants in the Bread contest are to submit three – 1 pound uniform loaves of white bread for judging. The pieces will be judged for: Uniqueness, Eye Appeal, Quality, Skill of Execution, Practical to Produce, and Cell Structure.
Entrants in the Sculptured Bread contest are to display one piece of artists choice with: Eye Appeal, Creativity, Stable Structure, Execution of Theme.
Entrants can enter each category. Entries are to be delivered to Saturday February 26th, 8:00 AM-2:00 PM to the Pre Function Area. Judging will take place Saturday at 2:30 PM.
First, second, and third place winners will be announced at the Saturday evening banquet. Remaining recognition awards will be given at the Award Ceremony Sunday at 12:00. First place winners will receive $100.00 in cash
Trophies will be awarded to first, second and third place winners. The remaining participants will receive certificates of participation.
