BRYAN, Tex. (KBTX) – Gluten-free diets have become quite trendy over the last decade but for some people, cutting out gluten isn't a choice but a means to live.
In an effort to bring more gluten-free options to stores across the country, the owner of Bryan based "Taylor Made Gluten Free Bakery" is looking to sell her business.
Denise Fries says she started the bakery because her daughter was diagnosed with Celiac Disease. It's an autoimmune digestive disease that damages the small intestine and interferes with absorption of nutrients from food. An estimated 85% of Americans who have Celiac Disease are either undiagnosed or misdiagnosed with other conditions.
