Over the last 24 hours in San Francisco, e-mail boxes, Twitter feeds and Facebook walls have been flooded with the plea: Save the San Francisco Baking Institute, which was ordered to shut down immediately by the “red tape of Sacramento.”
But a subsequent save-the-school campaign — and the echo chamber effect of media today — turned out to be much ado about nothing, because the school will return from winter break on Jan. 7, as planned, albeit with a tweaked course.
Repeat: The San Francisco Baking Institute is not closing.
The problem was incomplete paperwork. Nothing more, nothing less.
