The Largest Loaf Of Bread At The Green Week Comes From Brandenburg

Berlin – Master baker Karl-Dietmar Plentz from Schwante in Brandenburg is presenting the largest loaf of bread at this year’s Green Week during the opening press conference on 19 January. It measures 150 by 110 centimetres, weighs some 35 kilograms and, with its high fibre ingredients, would make an important contribution to anyone’s diet. This new, succulent vegetable bread contains wholemeal rye and wheat flour, oatmeal, carrots and a mixture of seeds including sesame, linseed, pumpkin and sunflower seeds. The bread can be sampled in the Brandenburg hall, 21a (Stand 158), and in the bakery at the Farm Experience (Hall 3.2, Stand 101). Not only is it healthy, it is also serving a very good cause, because for each loaf sold, 20 cents will be donated to the children’s charity ”Arche“.

With this heart-shaped bread the organizers and non-commercial sponsors of the Green Week extend a “heart-felt welcome” to visitors from all over the world.
