Houston, TX — Everything's big in Texas, including the new product displays. Buyers and merchandisers attending the International DairyDeliBakery Association's™ (IDDBA) Dairy-Deli-Bake 2010, seminar and expo got an intense, all-encompassing look at the hottest new products — all in one place and at one time. The event was held in Houston, TX, June 6-8. The show had over 1,500 booths with thousands of new product introductions in many categories.
Scouting out that hot new product or package or service is a challenge under the best of conditions. And when you're faced with the thousands of new product introductions that hit supermarket shelves every year, it becomes an even greater challenge. IDDBA's Dairy-Deli-Bake attendees could check out the New Product Showcase which previewed selected products. More new items were featured in individual booths. Finding the booths featuring new products was made easier by booth signs and buttons for staff which read, "Ask Me About My New Product" and "What's New?". In addition to new flavors, packages, portion-sizes, and value-added products, consumers are looking for products that have specific health benefits, offer convenience in prep time, are easy to eat, and provide social networking solutions.
New Product Introductions at IDDBA's Dairy-Deli-Bake 2010 included the following categories: Baked Goods, Beverages, Cheese, Condiments, Dairy, Deli, Dips/Spreads, Education, Equipment, Ethnic Foods, Fresh Ideas, Frozen, Health & Wellness, Import/Exports, Ingredients, Meals, Meat, Meats, Natural/Organic, Nutrition, Packaging, Pasta, Pastry, Pizza, Poultry, Prepared Foods, Bagels/chips, Produce, Promotions, Ready to Eat, Salads, Seafood, Snacks, Soups, Specialty Foods, Sweet Goods, Take Out, Technology and others.
