Tatte is planning a 30,000-square-foot production facility, test kitchen, office and cafe that is expected to anchor National Development’s planned mixed-use project at the vacant former Cole Hersee building at 60-70 Old Colony Ave. in South Boston.
The expansion is expected to create around 100 new jobs and represents an investment of around $5.5 million, Tatte founder Tzurit Or said.
“(National Development) really wanted to bring something in for the community, versus just a production space,” Or said. “For us, it’s something that we planned on doing and really wanted to do for the community. So it worked out really well.”
