Washington, D.C. – The 2017 Sweets & Snacks Expo is proud to debut Destination Retail, an immersive experience where show attendees can explore the latest technology and merchandising solutions driving shopper engagement. This new addition to the Sweets & Snacks Expo show floor will encompass the Merchandising Gallery of Success along with new technology pods demonstrating the latest in-store advances from leading companies.
“Technology’s role in the world of retail is changing every day, and the candy and snack categories can’t afford to get left behind,” commented Barry Rosenbaum, Expo chairman and president of Nassau Candy Distributors, Inc. “Destination Retail will provide Expo attendees an environment where they can see and experience the latest in-store solutions."
Housed directly on the show floor at the former site of the Discovery Theater, Destination Retail is the place to learn how shopper habits are evolving during the pre-store, in-store and post-store experience.

One of the cutting-edge technologies that will be on display at Expo will be IBM with their Watson® technology. Watson can analyze a multitude of consumer behaviors to help retailers drive in-store traffic and understand shopper behavior.
Joining IBM inside Destination Retail will be the latest advancements from leading companies such as Dart Displays, Impulse Marketing, One-Click Retail, Pointy and Shelfbucks.
