Sweets & Snacks Expo Named One Of The 'Top 15 Most Innovative Events Of 2014'

This month BizBash magazine, a resource for the event-planning community, released its list of the 15 Most Innovative Meetings of 2014. NCA was pleased to learn its signature trade show, the Sweets & Snacks Expo, had been featured.

BizBash pointed to the Expo's unique on-floor learning opportunities that take place in the Sweet Insights Theater as one example of how show organizers look for unusual and effective ways to engage attendees and make the show experience more successful for everyone. The feature also highlighted the all-access Industry Buzz networking reception that allows attendees and exhibitors to interact in less formal ways at the close of the show on the second day. NCA was applauded for implementing new ideas to draw attendees to the back of the hall, as well. Other fun show elements showcased in the article include the 12-foot high letters in the exhibit hall concourse that sum up nearly everyone's reaction to the Sweets & Snacks Expo: WOW.

"NCA and our Sweets & Snacks Expo Committee are extremely pleased to have received this recognition," said NCA's Vice President of Customer Relations Larry Wilson. "Every year we re-evaluate our show and ask the question, 'What do our attendees want?' We use attendee feedback, registration analytics and industry trends to drive our decisions around the event experience."

The Sweets & Snacks Expo shared the spotlight with other well-known, innovative events honored by BizBash like TED/TEDActive, Microsoft's Convergence, the Clinton Global Initiative and McDonald's Worldwide Convention.

The 2015 Sweets & Snacks Expo is May 19 – 21 in Chicago, Illinois. Registration will open later this month.
