Chris Pinahs has been working in a bakery since he was a child. In fact, his family lived upstairs from the Pinahs' bakery on 39th and Center in Milwaukee, and Pinahs' grandfather started a bakery in 1917 when he moved here from Germany after World War I.
"I was baking bread Thursday nights after school," Pinahs said. "I liked it, and I wanted money to put gas in the car."
Pinahs had a bakery business with his brother for years, but in 2008, Pinahs started StoneBank Baking Co. with his wife, Barb Pinahs.
