Rich Products Corp. has acquired two companies including one that produces the popular Carvel ice cream cakes and another that strengthens its position in Australia.
Rich Products, Buffalo’s largest privately-held company, confirmed it has acquired Celebration Foods, the New Britain, Conn.-based firm that produces, among other items, the Carvel ice cream cakes. Celebration also makes other novelty cakes and co-branded items with the likes of Oreos, Snickers and M&Ms.
At the same time, Rich’s also officially announced it acquired VSE International, a wholesale bakery manufacturing operation based in Sydney, Australia.
