Pamela's Products Moves To Larger Ukiah Facility

Third-generation baker Pamela Giusto-Sorrells, founder and CEO of Pamela's Products, is more than pleased to be working out of her new 76,000-square-foot facility, the old Carousel Carpet Building, creating and distributing gluten free products across the United States, throughout Canada and internationally to 30 countries.

Her grandparents bought the Golden Crescent Health Food Store on Polk Street in San Francisco in 1940. It was a family affair: her mom and dad, her brothers and sisters and her aunts and uncles all worked there, one of the first five heath food stores in the city. It is the well from which her creativity and business savvy have been drawn.

She says, "My grandmother was a vegetarian back in 1920 and they bought the store so she could be around her kind of people. The foods were very specific for those with alternative diets and they continued baking the line of gluten free products from the previous onsite baker. The store catered to those who ate raw, whole grain, vegetarian and gluten free foods."
