Milwaukee's National Baking Co. is buying Oak Creek-based Melody Cookies Inc., a move that will expand National's business into wholesale cookies, it was announced Tuesday.
Terms of the sale, which takes effect Wednesday, were not disclosed.
Doing business as National Bakery & Deli, the business has three retail locations in Milwaukee, Brookfield and Greendale which sell cakes, pies and other goods. Melody Cookies was established in 1968, and has over 15,000 square feet of production space at 7195 S. 1st St.
