GALAX, VA — The pieces are simple, but the invention is designed to prevent a mess. “My Bakery Box" hit the online market last weekend.
Sheila Bedwell came up with the idea after closing down her own bakery several years ago.
“In the process of transporting cakes, I noticed they tipped and tilted. And I used my son's building blocks to actually support the cakes. So from there, I knew there had to be a better way," said Bedwell.
A YouTube demo on Bedwell's website shows potential customers how her invention keeps baked goods from becoming a bust.
"When you get it out, it breaks away and you never touch the cake," said Bedwell.
