If you’re caffeinating at one of Anodyne Coffee Roasting Co.’s three locations (Bay View, Walker’s Point, Third Ward’s Milwaukee Public Market), you’ll be among the first to try the muffins, cookies and Super Lucky bars made by Honeypie Bakeshop. Besides running two Bay View restos (Honeypie Cafe and Palomino), owners and siblings Valeri and Adam Lucks are slowly starting their wholesale business, with their first delivery last week to Anodyne (carrying ham-and-cheese and blueberry cream cheese muffins, chocolate chip cookies and the granola bar-like Super Luckys). Fuel Cafe (818 E. Center St.) will also carry goods (cookies and savory hand pies) from the wholesale line. Valeri Lucks says they’re being deliberate and discerning about their first customers. The wholesale menu includes sweet pies (large and mini), quiches and savory pies (curried root vegetable; Cuban-style chicken), cookies (bars as well), granola and muffins. It’s a sweet time.
