E.M. Chrusciki Bakery has been part of Buffalo for decades and it plans to keep things that way. The bakery is a mainstay at the Broadway Market and has opened a second location in Lancaster.
The Polish bakery chose the lucky Irish day of St. Patrick's Day to open its newest facility. Company president Ania Gurnari says customers have been pouring in ever since. "It's going very well. We've been open about three weeks now and it's been very busy," she said. "We realized how nice of a following we have. So the word is out that our second location is open. We're baking on premises and it’s going really good."
The new bakery and wholesale facility is at 80 West Drullard Avenue in Lancaster. It offers much more modern space for wholesale expansion. Gurnari says that will be helpful as the company plans to expand nationally with the popular treat chrusciki, also known as angel wings, on the wholesale side.
