LOS ANGELES — This holiday season, La Brea Bakery, the nation's top Artisan bread brand, is giving people the chance to say “Thank You” to their loved ones who have to work on Thanksgiving with a surprise gift – a Thanksgiving meal brought directly to their place of work. Through the #ThanksgivingHero campaign page on La Brea Bakery’s Facebook page, the company will be accepting nominations for the hero in people’s lives via a one hundred word essay (or less) and photo upload, now through November 15, 2015. On November 17, the nation will have a chance to vote for their favorite hero and ultimately five winners will be selected from across the country to win the surprise and delight Thanksgiving feast, courtesy of their family, friends and all of America who voted.
“From first responders, to chefs, to supermarket employees, there are many people who make sacrifices on Thanksgiving and as a result, do not spend the holiday with their family and friends,” said Kristina Dermody, Brand President of ARYZTA, the parent company of La Brea Bakery. “As a leading food brand, we know how much this day means, and we want to do something truly special for those that have to be apart from family and friends on this day. We are excited to give our customers the chance to surprise their Thanksgiving hero this holiday season through our #ThanksgivingHero campaign.”
To enter the contest, consumers can visit the #ThanksgivingHero tab on La Brea Bakery’s Facebook page and share why they’d like the Thanksgiving hero in their life to win a fully catered meal. Finalists will be selected by November 17, and the public will vote on Facebook for the hero of their choice through November 21, with the winners being surprised with their Thanksgiving meal at work on November 26.
