Kowalski's Markets is in talks with developers and Shoreview officials about opening a store in a former Rainbow Foods site in Shoreview, and will move a bakery production facility to the spot as well.
The Pioneer Press reports that the plan for a 68,000-square-foot building, abandoned by Rainbow when it left the Twin Cities market in 2014, will go before Shoreview's Planning Commission Jan. 26.
Part of the property will become a 28,000-square-foot grocery store, Kowalski's officials said, including a coffee shop and wine and liquor store.
