King Cake: A Mardi Gras Tradition

Mardi Gras season means dozens of local bakeries are rolling out the dough for king cakes and with Mardi Gras season kicking off today, bakeries have been making king cakes all day.

"We do traditional king cakes." Eli Tate of Gambino's Bakery says he uses a "danish dough as our base, we add cinnamon sugar (then) we put a variety of filings from pecans to cream cheese."
