James Skinner Baking Using State Money To Expand In Texas

James Skinner Baking Co. is opening up a new bakery production facility in Paris, Texas, with plans to create 393 jobs in North Texas.

James Skinner is buying a 390,000 square foot facility formerly owned by Sara Lee. The facility represents a $25 million capital investment. The state is furnishing $1.8 million through the Texas Enterprise Fund. Paris is located about 100 miles northeast of Dallas

Omaha, Neb.-based James Skinner Baking Co. supplies more than 200 million pastries and baked goods each year to customers throughout the United States. The company sells products under both the Skinner brand and private labels. In San Antonio, the company's products are sold at area Walmart stores.
