Winchester, VA – Aug. 1 – 3, Icing Images will unveil their latest additions to the popular Sweet Accents food-safe die cutting and embossing system at the International Cake Exploration Societé (ICES) Convention in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
The newest die cutter sets created for Icing Images cake decorating and baking customers are Cathedral Window, Chevron Mania, Tres Medallions, Climbing Ivy, Happy Birthday, Paisley, Lower Case Alphabet and Navajo Weave.
Renowned cake decorators Peggy Tucker, CMSA, Susan Carberry, Karen Vazquez, Teri Tarbox, Theresa Parkin, Michele Hopps and Jason Everett will demonstrate the Sweet Accents system and Icing Images’ newest product, DECOgel™, at the Icing Images booths 517, 519 and 521 throughout the show.
“We’re excited to introduce new food safe die cutter designs. The talented cake artists demonstrating for us have created extraordinary cake designs using our Sweet Accents system. Professional decorators can't wait to get their hands on DECOgel™, a new medium in the sugar art world.” – Deborah Coughlin, Icing Images owner.
The Sweet Accents system was introduced at ICES last year at the convention in Lexington, Kentucky. ICES hosts a yearly meeting of celebrity cake decorators, vendors of cake related products, and cake decorators from across the globe who come to shop, take classes, watch live demonstrations and peruse the cakes on display in the cake gallery.
Sweet Accents is the first food-safe die cutting, embossing and stenciling system, used by bakers and cake decorators to create designs for cakes, cupcakes, cookies and other desserts with icing sheets. The portable system requires no skills to operate nor does it need electricity or batteries. Icing Images also carries the Silhouette Cameo Cutter, an electronic cutting machine, which is designed to cut letters and patterns, but requires more skill to operate.
DECOgel is a gelatin-based product created for bakers, cake decorators, and sugar artists to melt and pour in to molds or use as a freehand decoration to decorate cakes and other sugar pieces. DECOgel offers Icing Images’ customers an alternative and enhancement to Isomalt, a product commonly used for molding and sculpting sugar decorations, with less the risk of burning given it melts at a lower temperature. Although DECOgel cannot create sugar pieces such as sculptures or decorations that stand away from the cake, it is a very flexible decoration that is very easy to use.
Icing Images has been a leading distributor of edible photo and edible paper art supplies for over a decade, offering edible ink printers, edible ink, icing sheets, electronic and manual die cutters, and DECOgel to retail bakeries, home bakers and cake decorators.
