The 31,000 crepes and brioche produced per hour at a Forks Township bakery is not enough to keep up with demand in the U.S. so the France-based baking company plans to boost production and got a step closer Thursday night.
In a 3-0 vote, township supervisors granted a conditional use permit for Bakerly, the company that produces the baked goods in its facility at 4300 East Braden Blvd., to expand the building by 55,500 square feet.
The final portion of the process to expand will be for the supervisors to grant final approval of the overall plan, which could come in the spring.
