Flowbake North Port Gets $1.2 Million To Build In Charlotte

Flowbake North Port LLC, a Clearwater company managed by William B. Shirley, bought nine vacant commercial lots at 569 through 581 Tamiami Trail in Port Charlotte out of foreclosure from Charlotte State Bank for $275,000 and financed the purchase with an $1.2 million loan from USAmeriBank.

Flowbake, which is connected to Thomasville, Ga.-based Flowers Foods, has made similar purchases in Avon Park, Haines City, Spring Hill and Tampa.

In Tampa, it sold land to a company that built a 12,160-square-foot distribution warehouse and then leased the facility back to Flowers.
