Waukesha-based wholesale bakery that makes sprouted-grain rolls, bread and buns is planning a move to Milwaukee’s Menomonee Valley Industrial Center, it was announced Thursday.
Cybros The Sprouted Bakehouse has tentatively agreed to buy 1.89 acres in the industrial center from the city, and will build a 25,000-square-foot facility there. The company now operates a 7,000-square-foot facility at 417 Barney St.
Cybros will move 25 jobs from Waukesha to Milwaukee, with the potential to eventually create up to 100 jobs, a company statement said. The bakery could eventually be expanded to 40,000 square feet.
The company hopes to begin construction this fall, with the project completed by late spring of 2013.
