Crumbs Bake Shop has finally made it to Greenwich.
Following nine months of construction delays, the maker of signature cupcakes and cakes recently opened a store at 48 W. Putnam Ave., joining Connecticut locations in Darien, Stamford and Westport.
"This is our fourth store in Connecticut, and with the increasing demand for Crumbs in the area, we are thrilled to bring our delectable treats to this town," said Jason Bauer, who in March 2003 opened the first shop on Manhattan's Upper West Side with his wife, Mia. "We hope to make Crumbs Greenwich residents' favorite neighborhood bake shop."
Over the past seven years, Crumbs has grown to 32 stores, including 24 outlets in New York and New Jersey and six shops in greater Los Angeles. The company, which has three outlets on Long Island and a store in Washington, D.C., plans to expand more in those areas and enter the Chicago market.
