ConAgra Foods plans a $15 million expansion at its South Beloit cookie-making plant, nearly doubling its employment in the Rockford Region.
ConAgra Foods, which employs 210 people at its 1450 Pate Plaza Dr. facility, expects to hire 150 people, with the first group of new team members starting in August.
“The team is very excited to see the investment in our facility and to be able to make more cookies in the years to come,” said Tommy Perry, plant manager.
Recruiting and hiring is expected to last into the middle of 2016.
